Montevannos Oak

Harvest 2021

100% Tempranillo grapes from our managed vineyards in Quemada and Quintana del Pidio, which are located at 850 meters above sea level and have been planted in soils dominated by boulders of more than 40 years.

Visually we can highlight its high tonality of garnet red color, clean and bright. The nose highlights aromas of black fruits, such as blackberry and currant, and vanilla, coconut and roasted coffee acquired during the short aging process.

In the mouth it leaves a fresh and fruity mouthfeel with the slight complexity of sweet tannins from the toasted oak. It is a wine balanced in acidity with persistent fleshy fruit. The aftertaste is round, marked by the style of modern wines.

Montevannos Crianza

2020 Harvest

Wine made with 95% Tempranillo grapes from our controlled vineyards in Quemada and Quintana del Pidio and 5% Merlot grapes from the Valdepalados vineyard in the town of Quintanamanvirgo.

In view we can highlight its high cherry red color with small brick-red trim, clean and bright. On the nose, a variety of black fruits emerge in the glass, with raspberry standing out.

It is a persistent wine with no alcoholic burn. Its aroma, of empty glass, leaves impregnated in its walls a memory of jam.

Montevannos Organic Oak

Harvest 2022

100% organic Tempranilla. Wine with a powerful cherry red color with violet rims that denote its youth.
On the nose it offers a high fruit intensity in which we find aromas of strawberries, cherries and plums.
Stirring the glass, we perceive aromas of toffee and chocolate with a mineral touch on the palate it has good volume and there is a good balance between the tannins of the skin and those acquired during its three months of aging in oak barrels.
The eloquent union between nose and mouth is correctly assembled. The freshness, youth and subtlety of the selected oak contribute toan elegant passage through the palate.

Alcohol content: 13%.
Volatile Acidity: 0.35 gr/l.
Total acidity: 5.5 gr/l.


Vintage 2021


The growing season ended with fairly normal temperatures, just slightly warmer than usual. The first winter frosts took place by the end of November and the weather conditions generally allowed a favourable winter dormancy of the vines.

The conditions far berry ripening were favoured by the absence of rainfall from the beginning of September to mid-October with sunny days and a very large diurnal range with cool nights.

Harvest conditions where optimal and have given grapes with very high quality, ideal ripeness and in a perfect state of health.

Grape variety: Tempranilla, entirely from our single parcel “El Julián” vineyard, planted in 1940 (83 years old) located atan altitude of 850 meters.

Terroir: The soils consist mainly of clay-loam with big pebbles in the top-layer.

Maturation: 14 months in new French oak barreis from the best French cooperages (Cadus, Nadalie and Vicard).

Appearance: Wine with a deep ruby red; clean and brilliant.

On the nose: A wine with a complex bouquet of well-integrated fruity aromas such as strawberry, raspberry and blackberry together with aromas from the oak maturation like cedar, toast, toffee, chocolate, and tobacco.

On the palate: We find a full-bodied wine with primary flavours like cherry and plum, oak-aromas of vanilla, toast, cedar, and sorne savoury notes nicely integrated. lt is an elegant, complex wine with silky texture and smooth tannins with a long finish, which will develop wonderfully in the bottle.
