Our wineries

Bodegas El Hacedor has, in the Ribera del Duero D.O., a winemaking winery.

In 2024, our new Winemaking and Ageing Winery in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid) will be completed, located in the center of the “Golden Mile” of the Ribera del Duero. Made with the latest top-notch technology, it will allow us to improve our production capacity, and above all, to mature and age the wines in optimal conditions in an innovative, efficient and completely sustainable facility.

Our grapes

We have 35 hectares of vineyards, from more than 20 carefully selected parcels throughout the Ribera del Duero DOP, for our fabulous range of red wines and 3.5 hectares of vineyards with the white Godello grape variety, in the province of Valladolid from which we make our Val de Vannos – Godello on lees – that will be in the market in the spring, 2024.

Tradition and technology. Having our own and experienced teams allows us to optimize the quality of the grapes and make grape selection in the vineyard. We carry out the artisanal handpicked harvest for our old bushvines and are using state-of-the-art technology both in the vineyards and winery.

D.O. Ribera del Duero

The Ribera del Duero denomination, created in 1982, stretches along a 115-kilometer-long strip of the Duero River basin, which includes municipalities in the provinces of Burgos, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia.

The “golden mile” stretches along the 25 kilometers that separate the villages of Quintanilla de Onésimo, Pesquera de Duero and Peñafiel. The most famous and renowned wineries of this Denomination of Origin are located here.

Our brands

MONTEVANNOS

The MONTEVANNOS brand was born from these origins and this classic Latin theme is still very present in our corporate identity and branding.

Our range of organic wines

M DE MONTEVANNOS

This brand takes its name from our badge or motto, in bullfighting terms. Our M accompanies us in the capsules of our Montevannos wines, and in our organic wine brand, we have incorporated this distinctive of Bodegas El Hacedor.

Our “Signature Wine”

OPIMIVS

In our vocation to create wines that “please” our customers and friends, we have chosen, for the first time, to have a white wine in our selection, a wine that the whole team of Bodegas El Hacedor love, that, to our modest understanding, we believe is the white wine that has the greatest national and international projection at this time and that will strengthen our portfolio alongside our red wines.

Made from Godello grapes and aged on its own lees (or mother wine), which is nothing more than the microorganisms (yeasts and other substances) that remain precipitated in the tanks after alcoholic fermentation and are incorporated into the wine during aging to give it greater creaminess, new aromas and nuances, reduce its astringency and avoid the risk of oxidation once bottled.

The brand name of our “godello” white wine is Val de Vannos. We show you the presentation hoping you like it and we will keep you informed of its development and market launch in spring 2024.
